Terms of Service

Last updated October 15, 2026

The short version

  • Your content is yours. We use it only to run Reflct for you, and we never sell it.
  • If you record a conversation, get the consent the law requires. In California, that means everyone in it.
  • Reflct does its AI work with Claude or ChatGPT, on your own account. Their terms apply to that account.
  • Reflct can get things wrong, so check anything important. It shares only when you tap, or under a rule you set up.
  • Cancel Pro or delete your account anytime.
  • If we ever disagree, we settle it one-on-one in arbitration, not in court. You can opt out within 30 days.

This is a summary. The full terms below are what apply.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Reflct Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Santa Monica, California ("Reflct," "we," "us"). They cover everything we offer as Reflct: the Mac and iPhone apps, the Chrome extension, reflct.ai and share links. By creating an account or using Reflct, you agree to them.

Who can use Reflct

You must be 18 or older and live in the United States. Reflct is for personal use.

Your account

Reflct is invite-only for now. Invites are personal, and we may limit them. Keep your sign-in safe, since you're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else is using it, tell us at support@reflct.ai.

2. Your content

You own it

Your content is what you bring into Reflct and what it makes for you: messages, contacts, calendar, recordings, reflections, notes, and your pages, cards and drafts. You keep all rights to it.

Your Vault stays on your Mac. If you turn on the iPhone app, a copy of your people, plans and cards goes to Reflct's server so your phone can show them. The Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms, has the details.

What you let us do with it

You give Reflct a limited, non-exclusive, free permission to store, copy, send and display your content only as needed to run Reflct for you, such as showing it on your devices and delivering the shares you choose. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies the law makes us keep and backups that clear on their normal schedule.

We don't sell your content, and we don't use it to train AI models.

Other people in your content

Your messages, recordings and contacts include other people. You're responsible for having the right to bring their information into Reflct and to share it.

3. Recording

The Recorder can record conversations and calls. Recording laws differ by state. Some, including California, require everyone's consent.

  • Get the consent the law requires before you record.
  • Don't record where it's illegal, or where people expect privacy and haven't agreed.
  • You're responsible for your recordings and how you use them.

4. Claude, ChatGPT and other services

Reflct does its AI work with Claude or ChatGPT, on your own account. You can also connect other services, such as Deepgram for transcription or Google for calendar and contacts. Their own terms apply to your accounts with them. Reflct isn't responsible for what they do, their outages or their fees.

5. What Reflct makes for you

Reflct uses AI to make pages, drafts, summaries and suggestions. They can be wrong or out of date, so check anything important before you act on it. None of it is medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice. For that, talk to a professional. In an emergency, call 911.

You decide what goes out. Reflct shares only when you tap Share, or under an "Always share" rule you set up for one person and can turn off anytime.

6. Using Reflct fairly

Please don't use Reflct to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate anyone.
  • Record anyone without the consent the law requires.
  • Share content you don't have the right to share.
  • Break the law.
  • Reverse engineer or copy Reflct, except where the law allows.
  • Get around its limits, security, plan checks or invites.
  • Scrape it or use bots on it, except through features we offer for that.
  • Overload or attack Reflct or the people who use it.
  • Resell Reflct or share your account.

7. Plans and billing

Reflct has a free plan and a paid Pro plan, $20 a month today. The price at checkout is the one that applies. Stripe handles web payments, and Apple handles purchases in the iPhone app.

  • Renewal. Pro renews each billing period until you cancel. You authorize us, or Apple, to charge you at each renewal.
  • Canceling. Cancel anytime, in your account settings on the web or in your Apple ID subscriptions on iPhone. Pro stays on through the period you paid for.
  • Refunds. Apple purchases follow Apple's refund rules. Web payments aren't refundable unless the law requires it, but write to support@reflct.ai and we'll look at it fairly.
  • Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you don't want it, cancel before then.
  • Taxes. Prices may not include taxes. You pay any that apply.

8. Beta and early features

Some features are marked Beta or early. They may change or stop, and we offer them as-is.

Joining the Beta ("Help improve Reflct") is your choice. Our team may look at what Reflct made for you so we can make it better. You can leave anytime, and leaving stops new sharing with us. The Privacy Policy says what the Beta includes.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime in your account settings, or by writing to support@reflct.ai. We then delete your data on Reflct's server, apart from what the law makes us keep and backups that clear on their normal schedule. Your Vault stays on your Mac until you delete it there. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel that with Apple too.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, when the law requires it, or to keep people safe. When we can, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it or get your data.

Sections 2, 3, 5, 10, 11 and 12 still apply after your account ends, and so does anything you owe.

10. Warranty, liability and indemnity

NO WARRANTY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, REFLCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We can't promise Reflct will always be available, accurate or secure, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own backup of anything important.

LIMIT ON LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, REFLCT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT REFLCT OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID REFLCT IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $100. Reflct and its people and suppliers are also not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, even if we knew they were possible. Some states don't allow some of these limits. Where that's so, they apply only as far as the law allows.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Reflct and its people against claims that come from you recording someone without the consent the law requires, or from you breaking these terms. That means covering the losses and reasonable legal costs those claims cause.

11. If we disagree

Please read this section. It affects your legal rights.

Talk to us first

Write to support@reflct.ai with the problem and what you'd like. We'll try to sort it out within 60 days.

Arbitration instead of court

If we can't sort it out, you and Reflct agree to settle any dispute about Reflct or these terms by binding individual arbitration instead of in court. The American Arbitration Association (AAA) runs it under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could, and a court can enter judgment on the award.

  • Where. By video or phone, or in person in the county where you live.
  • Cost. Reflct pays the AAA filing fees beyond what it would cost you to file in court.
  • Small claims. Either of us can always bring an individual claim in small claims court instead.
  • Intellectual property. Either of us can go to court to stop misuse of intellectual property.

One person at a time

Claims can be brought only individually, not as part of a class, collective or representative action, and the arbitrator can't combine different people's claims. If this is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court instead of arbitration.

You can opt out

To opt out of arbitration, email support@reflct.ai within 30 days after you first agree to these terms. Include your name, your account email, and that you're opting out of arbitration. Opting out doesn't change the rest of these terms.

Which law and which courts

California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Any dispute that isn't arbitrated goes to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and you and Reflct agree to those courts.

12. Changes and the rest

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Reflct after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

The iPhone app and Apple

These terms are between you and Reflct, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the iPhone app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms against you as they relate to the iPhone app.

The rest

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about Reflct. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer these terms without our okay. We can transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
