How Reflct handlesyour messages
Your messages stay on your Mac.
You give Reflct your Messages folder with the standard macOS folder picker, and you can take it back at any time. Reflct does not need Full Disk Access, and it never changes, moves or deletes anything in Messages.
On your Mac, with their attachments.
Claude or ChatGPT, on your own account, and apps you connect, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex, once you say yes. People you leave out are left out.
Only what you choose: short quotes (at most 280 characters each) in the copy for your iPhone, a conversation you share (encrypted, with the key only in your link, plus the link preview you approve), a Read you order, or something you include in a bug report.
Leave a person out, narrow a connected app, turn off the copy for your iPhone (which deletes it from Reflct's server), take back the Messages folder, or start fresh on this Mac.
If you set up Reflct on the current Mac app, this does not apply to you. A Mac app that has not opened a current version may still upload who you text and when, and on Pro a few days of message text. Opening the current Mac app stops this. The details.
